I am a Pig

This poem is just reflecting on life and retirement

I am a Pig

I am a pig
I live on a pig farm
On Salisbury Plain
Where the sky is big
The hill roll forever
The Henge stands saying nothing
Seeing all

In my last life
I was a man
I had a childhood full of security
A career full of opportunity
A wife full of love
Children full of promise
What a worry

This is better much better
I know I will be bacon soon
But my food is brought
I can nose the stony ground for a root
Or worm. I have friends who
Make no demands
What contentment
